Moi, j’y étais. 1 heure et demi d’attente pour être entre le 5ème et 10ème rang, beaucoup de fans au rendez vous arborant fièrement leur tee-shirts "Sonata Artica" et autres "Edguy". Très bon accueil de la première partie (Astral Doors), les choses se sont intensifiées au son de l’intro War of Wrath et puis, c’est parti ! Ambiance très chaude, très bon concert, public particulièrement chantant (et pogotant en passant). Que du bonheur (sauf peut-être lorsque le micro à lâché sur "Another Stranger Me" mais ça c’est de l’anecdotique, le problème a été vite réglé). A noter la reprise du refrain de Valhalla par tout le public... une fois sortie de la salle ;)

Voilà, un nouvel album du très grand groupe Angra est sorti, qui se nomme Aurora Consurgens...
Je l'ai seulement écouté qu'une fois mais je le trouve fort bien...
Il reste différent des autres, du fait qu'il est plus axé heavy metal( enfin, je trouve..); ayant fait une tournée avec le groupe Dream Theater, les solos sont un peu plus "alambiqués" enfin, on peut dire qu'ils ont très légèrement été influencé par Dream.. ^^
Donc, voilà, je retourne le réécouter...

Une petite bizarrerie dans le monde du metal: Van Canto.
Van Canto est un groupe de power metal avec la particularité de n'etre composé d'aucun guitariste ni bassiste...Eh oui, Van Canto est un groupe de Metal acappella.
Comme le dit le groupe un groupe pour tout ceux:
For all those who like melodic, epic and powerful metal songs
For all those who like Metallica just as much as Nightwish
For all those who think the climax of a Blind Guardian concert is to sing along the chorus

C'est plutot bien fait, le groupe arrive a retranscrire une certaine puissance rien qu'avec leurs voix, mais bien que sympathique ça peut vite devenir un peu ennuyeux (et je parle meme pas pendant un concert).
En tout cas ça reste une idée tres originale, et ça fait du bien dans un monde du metal qui en manque parfois.

J'étais justement en train d'écouter du Metallica quand j'ai vu ton message!! Sans guitare ni basse ils s'en sortent tres bien, c'est super entrainant, ca donne la peche et ils alternent voix masculine et voix feminine. C'est cool de nous avoir fait decouvrir ce groupe ;)

bon, ça faisait nogtemps que je n'avais pas trouvé un groupe de métal interessant et ceci depuis des années (sans compter un groupe régional qui c'est malheureusement séparé, les con!!)...
...mais je suis tombé sur celui-ci sur Myspace.

Ouai, c'est pas mal effectivement.
Le titre Wasted est sympa, il alterne entre voix contenue et voix saturée, c'est pas mal du tout.
J'aime assez. (mdr, le commentaire du petit "Frenchy" sur leur Myspace!!!!)

Un petit message pour vous faire un groupe de metal en ecoute sur heavylaw. Soulmaker est un groupe de heavy metal un peu a la Evanescence et a la Eths.
C'est pas vraiment mon truc, mais je fais un peu de pub pour une amie (la chanteuse, qui officit egalement dans le groupe Lost Legacy, dont j'ai deja parlé ici).
La demo est de tres bonne qualité, le mastering a été produit par Mika Jussila au Finnvox ( un des plus grand studio metal, là où Nightwish et Finntroll, entre autre, enregistrent).

C'est un tres grand moment pour les fans de Iced Earth, apres une absence de presque 5 ans le chanteur Matt Barlow fait sont retrour dans le groupe !!
